Apple announced Monday that it sold three million iPad mini and fourth generation iPad when the products went on sale this weekend. Apple didn't disclose how many of the three-million sales were for the iPad mini and fourth-generation iPad. CEO Tim Cook said the smaller iPad were almost sold out.

"Customers around the world love the new iPad mini and fourth generation iPad," Xinhua quoted him as saying. "We set a new launch weekend record and practically sold out of iPad minis. We're working hard to build more quickly to meet the incredible demand," Cook said in a statement.

Demand for iPad mini exceeded the initial supply and while many of the pre-orders have been shipped to customers, some are scheduled to be shipped later this month. The iPad mini and fourth generation iPad went on sale Friday. Some analysts expected iPad mini to eat into the sales of full-sized iPad.

It estimated at least two-thirds of the three-million iPads Apple sold are iPad minis. Market research company IDC said Monday that Apple's tablet market share slip notably in the third quarter as consumers were in anticipation of the announcement of iPad mini. IDC said Apple is expected to have a good holiday quarter, but iPad mini's relatively high starting price of $will leave plenty of room for its competitors. -IANS Photo: Robert Galbraith / Reuters

Following the beta release of iOS5, the developers have released a feature list for Evernote version 5. Speed of locating and adding information has been the central mantra for the development team, who worked with the philosophy that all important functions should be no more than two taps away. To that end, Evernot 5 will have a revamped UI, a new home screen, and quick access to recent notes and creating new notes. In addition, the new version will a Page Camera feature that automatically crops and corrects images for brightness and contrast. The Places view in Evernote 5 will have a map view, making it more intuitive to organize and browse through location specific notes. The developers left out the all-important release date, but going by recent events, the final release should not be too far.

Google Wallet was designed with the purpose of letting people pay at stores using an application in their phones, and hence eliminating the security risks associated with carrying paper or plastic money. In that context, it would be quite ironic if these rumors about Google Wallet turn out to be true. Android Police received an anonymous tip about Google Wallet, along with a bunch of screenshots to help make the case. The leak shows that Google is working on a physical form of Google Wallet, because NFC readers are not as common with retailers as one would like. If this turn out to be true, then Google will be making a proper entry into the banking sector, having perhaps lost or given up on the original vision for Google Wallet.

Google has officially announced its new Nexus smartphone which is manufactured by LG and is called the Nexus 4. At the same time (although unofficially available in India) the Samsung manufactured Galaxy Nexus is now up for grabs in India for as low as Rs. 18,000.
undefined
So far I have confirmed this with two retailers which include Alfa Mobiles Store which is located in Andheri and the second is the Indrapasth Mall which is located near Borivali railway station. This pricing is for the factory unlocked GSM variant.
It is the previous generation Nexus smartphone which means it will be one of the first devices to get the new Android updates. In terms of the specifications the device sports 4.65-inches Super AMOLED display, 5 megapixel rear camera and a secondary front facing 1.3 megapixel camera. The device is powered by a dual-core 1.2GHz Cortex A9 processor and it has 1GB of RAM.
While the Galaxy Nexus will run Android 4.0 ICS out of the box the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update will be available as soon after you boot up your devices as it has already started rolling out to this smartphone. We have to disclose that the device is not officially available in India and hence you will not receive any warranty for purchase and if you are still interested in purchasing the smartphone we suggest you buy a good case which will prevent most damage from accidental drops.
